BMC Youth Climbing Series Final 27/06/12
Last Saturday, 14 of our Youth Squad members made the journey to Ratho for the BMC Youth Climbing Series final. Over 330 young finalists qualified through the regional rounds. We are extremely proud to announce that the South West came 3rd overall, With 10 of our squad members placing in the top 10. Kate took third place overall and Sienna came first! An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist at Undercover Rock, The Bristol Climbing Centre. This customer service role would suit someone with reception, front of house or caf� experience.
A can-do attitude is essential for this varied role, the successful candidate will be a reliable team player with great communication skills. We are looking for someone with great attention to detail and a friendly yet professional approach.
This is a permanent full time position for up to 40 hours a week, �6.50 per hour. Working mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekends, with 28 days holiday.

CWA Training 12/06/12
This award, which UCR has been closely involved in developing, launched in 2008 and is designed for individuals who wish to teach top rope climbing and bouldering on indoor climbing walls and artificial towers. The course focuses on the safe management of groups and the coaching of movement skills. A second module covers group abseiling.Prior to attending a training course candidates must be 17 years of age, have climbed indoors for 6 months and have registered with Mountain Leader Training England (MLTE).
